Individualism vs. Collectivism Part 3

Part 3 of the individualism vs collectivism discourse. This part is entitled, "Coercion vs. Freedom."

When it comes down to it, responsibility and rights are the same. It seems to me you cannot have one without the other. There are those who believe that ou rights are dictated by the federal government. This is simply not true, our rights come via the constitution from our Creator (whomever you deem Him to be ).

As citizens, it is a right and responsibility to vote out deadwood politicians who care for nothing but getting reelected. These United States have no one to blame but ourselves for the size of government and the encroachment of government on domains that do not belong to it.

We know what needs to be done:
  • Find friends or family to help fix the problem and get involved in government.
  • Do not wait on one of the two major political parties to fill a need.
  • Seek a restoration of the constitution in its entirety.
  • Throw public officials out of office who do not follow constituational guidelines or who propose unconstitutional laws.
  • Impeach judges who want to be empathetic instead of impartial. This includes those judges who feel its part of their responsibility to legislate law from their benches.

If we do even a few of these things, the possiblity of true "change" can be accomplished.

Individualism vs. Collectivis Part 2

Here is part two of the video. This concerns "group supremacy." Please enjoy!

I hate to disagree with Mr. Spock from Star Trek, but the needs of the many never outwiegh the needs of the one. If you can mke a difference in one person's life you can start a change reaction that could change your community, your workplace, or even the state you live in.

News Flash: Congressional Budget Office says HR 3200 is Going to Skyrocket the Deficit

Charles RangelImage via Wikipedia

July 17th the Congressional Budget released it report on the estimated cost of Obamacare.

The nuts and bolts of the report are here, keep a note that it also includes increases in revenue (taxes).

Also on a side note, notice that it is addressed to the Honorable Charles B. Rangel, The same Charles Rangel member of the House of Representatives that didn't pay his taxes. If it had been you or I not paying our taxes or omitting some type of income we would have suffered the same fate as Wesley Snipes. Snipes is in jail on Tax Fraud.

I Believe, Do You?

  • I believe in the freedom to do what I want, when I want, and where ever I want to do it. As long as I am not hurting anyone or breaking any laws.

  • I believe that color doesn't matter, neither race, sex or how much money you make. We are all human beings with emotions, needs and opinions.

  • I believe that I shouldn't pay for a huge corporations mistakes. Would they pay for mine?

  • I believe that as taxpayers we have a right to hold our elected officials accountable for their actions. If we don't government will continue to grow unchecked.

  • I believe that money that I make belongs to no one else but myself and my family. If you need money go find a job and make your own.

  • I believe in the rights of free speech, to own guns, to worship as I please. If you don't, move to China, they'd gladly accommodate anyone who doesn't want to claim their rights.

  • I believe that government spending is out of control, with no visible end in sight. If we don't stop spending what we don't have, isn't that called irresponsibility?

  • I believe in American Exceptionalism, that our country is not only a better place to live, but also the best system of government mankind has ever devised. We just need to read the Constitution and follow it to the letter. It isn't a living document to be twisted.

  • I believe that as a nation, we have lost ourselves morally and spiritually. If we get ourselves right with each other and with God (Jesus is my Lord), that would go a long way to fixing any social problems we have.

  • I believe in term limits. One 6 year term would do nicely for President, The Senate, and the House at both the national and state levels.

  • I believe in a flat tax, where every ones contribution is equal. If you can't afford it, change your lifestyle.

  • I believe in a balanced budget, and the elimination of our countries debt. Supposedly our best and brightest know how to accomplish this, so why are we spending?

  • I believe that our children won't understand the decisions that have been made when they find out that bailouts have caused them to be born into this world owing a debt to the federal government to the tune of around 184,000 dollars.

  • I believe that America is good. The American people are the most giving, volunteering people in the world. We don't need to triple the size of Americorps. Save some money.

  • I believe that our F.B.I, local law enforcement officers, and other first responders know how to do their jobs, we do not need a civilian defense force to protect us from terrorist threats.

  • I believe in the American people, Tax Day was a start. The sleeping giant of America was awakened once before by tyranny and oppression, and it is finally starting to rub the sleep from it's eyes once again.

A Look at American History and Values

It constantly amazes me on a daily basis, how little Americans know of their heritage. From people on the Jay Leno show asked to sing the national anthem and failing to get through the first few lines, to reporters asking citizens how their government works, these issues are a serious warning sign that, we as Americans, have simply either forgotten where we came from, or we simply do not care what we have been through as a country.

So, in order to attempt something of a remedy to the current situation, I am going to post links here for both the Declaration of Independence, and for the United States Constitution. I encourage everyone to read them both, then ask yourselves the following questions:

What does the Declaration mean to me and how does it apply in today's world? Is the Declaration still valid?

Do we have a responsibility to prevent what happened to our forefathers in the events leading up to the revolutionary war from happening again?

Is our constitution being followed?

If not, what can be done to remedy that?

What can we do to strengthen the general public's knowledge of these amazing documents?

What can we do as citizens to ensure our continued freedom that we currently enjoy?

I encourage everyone to read these two documents and spend some time thinking about these questions. As Americans, its our duty to see the constitution is followed to the letter, and that all branches of our federal government stay within the framework there of.

The Declaration of Independence can be found at:http://www.law.indiana.edu/uslawdocs/declaration.html

The Constitution can be found at:http://www.constitution.org/constit_.htm

Also, in regards to the comment of people not knowing our National Anthem here is a link that includes an instrumental, as well as vocals, and a posting of the lyrics:

Just What are Politics

2009 Five Presidents, President George W. Bush...Image by BL1961 via Flickr

What are politics?I was asked this question my senior year in high school while taking a college level American government class. The professor, I remember her first name, Amy, asked us that question. After a noticeable silence, she told us the following:

"Politics is the art of determining who gets what, how they get it, when they get it, and why they get it."

That has stuck with me for a very long time. For the last several years that sentence keeps returning to my mind because it is true. This sentence is why we have lobbyist and special interest. Because these lobbyist know that in order to get what they want they must wine and dine representatives. My professor Amy also made the following statement as well:

"Politics is also a continuous battle where Order battles Equality and Freedom, and all the variations there of."

This statement is also resoundingly true. If the populace begins to favor order, freedom always suffers, and in most cases equality is not much that far behind. However, if the populace favors freedom then a state can almost exist in total anarchy with everyone doing as they please, often with individuals taking advantage of others whether is through what we consider crime, or taking advantage of another person's trust.

Right now in America, Equality is a watch word of the Liberal (progressive) establishment. There is nothing wrong with Equality because all men are created equal. All men in this country (and women) have the opportunity to be whatever they desire. Men and women competing for the same jobs should be judged solely by their qualifications, their education and their experiences. I do not believe it necessary to legislate equality. I believe it is every man and woman inherit right to the freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America, regardless of race, sex or creed.

Under the guise of Equality, the Liberal establishment has also been seeking to establish order and to limit personal freedoms. Evidence of this is the over taxation of the wealthy and redistributing it through government subsidies and tax refunds to those less fortunate. The Great Society along with most of the still intact New Deal legislation are excellent examples of this. The liberal establishment wants all of us to make the same. They want to take individualism out of these United States, and replace it with words like "community" and the "greater good."

There are a few leaders in history who wanted the same as our current Democratic party. Names like Stalin, Hitler, and Mussolini. Their respective parties wanted the same types of things, a "fair "living" wage, state sponsored retirement for everyone, guaranteed jobs, profit sharing, a graduated income tax, and universal health care. Those men above preached Communism, National Socialism, and Fascism. All three flavors of government belong to the left of the political spectrum.

Americans have been wrongly educated about this since after World War II, thanks to some savvy propaganda credited to Josef Stalin.Stalin's propaganda centered on the facts that both Italy's fascism and Germany's national socialism where nationalist movements. The difference between communism and the other two is that communism preaches that the workers of the world unite and overthrow their bosses. While both fascism and national socialism preached the subjugation of corporations to their governments. That's the key ideological difference when it comes to communism versus fascism and national socialism.

I said the above to introduce this video. You will need to skip over to the 5:49 mark and watch what George Carlin says about fascism. You can stop watching at roughly 6:18.

The democratic party while preaching equality, but using order, will continue to undermine freedom until we, as citizens, no longer have any freedom whatsoever. It will arrive just the way as George Carlin foretold. Even though George W. Bush laid a lot of ground work for a police state with the patriot act, his treasury secretary also threatened congress with martial law if the first stimulus bill wasn't passed. Now we are seeing the same tactics being used by the current administration that threatened the results would be devastating if the second stimulus wasn't passed. Now we have "Hate bills" under the guise of equality. When in fact they are reverse discrimination against the majority of the population, particularly white males. The bill also makes pastors subject to violation of Hate laws should they decide to preach about homosexuality which their religion may deem to be morally wrong. Here is the current attorney general and some comments he has made about Hate bill legislation.

The proof is out there my friends. You have to look for it. Our rights under the constitution are being attacked on a daily basis. The question is what are we going to do about it. We need to go to Tea Parties, Independence Day is coming and there are going to be tea party activities all over the country. Get involved, call your representatives. Read the news, not just from the mainstream media. I am available nearly all the time and if you have any questions on how to get involved post them here and I will answer them. If I don't have answer I will point you to someone who can.We all know what our current president thinks about the Tea Parties:

I would like to thank everyone who has joined as a follower. I appreciate your interest and I hope to keep you interested. Until next time be safe. Independence Day is coming to don't there is nothing wrong with being proud to be an American!

A Book Review: Ronald Reagan's Initial Actions Report

Mrs.Image via Wikipedia

Arthur Laffer, Ph. D makes a brilliant introduction and sets the tone for the entire book. He speaks of two time periods 1981 and 2009 and their amazing similarities. He speaks of the two presidents, Reagan and Obama, and how their approaches differ. A brief history is provided on Keynesian economics and Reagan's "supply-side" economics and how they differ. The book also discusses how our current president and his policies are the exact opposite of the policies that the Reagan administration implemented during his first 100 days in office. In Laffer's summary he says, "...if you reverse the policies of Reagan, you should expect opposite results."The book then outlines the Initial Actions Project developed by the Reagan Administration. It talks about moving away from Keynesian economics, coalition building, the presidency and what it means to the administration, and revitalizing America itself. I consider this book a very good read. It can be purchased at Barnes and Noble for around 10 dollars.

What is a Progressive?

the 44th President of the United States...Bara...Image by jmtimages via Flickr

We have certainly heard the term recently. From the Democratic primary and into the general election. We heard that we need to be progressive to combat the economic situation. Progressivism is what the country needs. Mrs. Clinton the current Secretary of State described herself as "progressive."

For most of us. Progress means to to move forward, or to be in the process of moving forward. What does it mean to the democratic party? Has America ever experienced progressivism before? Is progressivism a good thing? Is progressivism what the citizens of this country need?

We need to start this by going back to the "Progressive" movement of the early 20th Century in the United States. Most progressives at the turn of the century had decided that "individualism" was counterproductive to a "fair" society. Progressives at the turn of the century wanted to heavily regulate business, by leveling the "playing" field. They wanted to equalize every one's opportunity at life by having a minimum wage, and a graduated income tax. They wanted to help people by enacting a policy of eugenics, which would sterilize the undesirables of society, the criminals and the mentally ill. They wanted government to become the "big brother" of all its citizens helping them by taking away all of the hard decisions in life.

This movement in the United States was headed by Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Herbert Hoover, Franklin Roosevelt and countless others. It was a movement made up of both sides of the Congressional aisle. Its wasn't a sole movement of the democratic party nor the republican party. In other countries the progressive movement was known by several different labels, in Russia it was communism, Italy had Fascism, Germany had National Socialism. ALL of these movements wanted to completely do away with society with all of its have's and have not's and remold it into a society where everyone has everything they need courtesy of the all benevolent, all powerful state. They wanted to bind business and industry to government regulation and control so no one corporation could out perform another. In Russia it was outright government ownership of business. In Italy corporations were brought under serious and debilitating government regulation and control as was the case in Nazi Germany. If the corporation didn't follow the government program their leadership was quickly replaced by individuals more willing to follow the governments guidelines.

These same antics were practiced here in the United States during World War one under Woodrow Wilson's War Industries Board, as well as under the New Deal economics, under President Franklin Roosevelt. During Wilson's administration people were arrested for little to no reason. Industries were regulated and bent towards the government's will. During Franklin Roosevelt's administration, the National Recovery Administration destroyed businesses who didn't completely support the policies of the New Deal. The NRA promoted compliance with New Deal policies by arranging military parades and community get togethers. School children were forced to swear oaths to the "Blue Eagle," a symbol that was equated during those times with the German swastika or the Italians fasces.

During the 1960's and 1970's, American Progressives made their presence known in the streets. The Students for Democratic Society, Weather Underground, and the Black Panther's pushed for, using violent means, a revolution to force the equalization of all people. To eliminate "white" jobs and business and replace it with a communistic style of government. It was during this time that academics were slowly being converted to the ideas of progressivism, and due to the academics conversion America has seen a dramatic increase of progressive ideas and legislation.

Today progressivism has control of the country but that did not start with the election of Barack Obama. It started during the second term of George W. Bush with the collapse of the housing market. Bush reacted to the collapse as a progressive instead of on the platform upon which he was reelected. He was responsible for the first stimulus package, which was based on the politics of fear and crisis, which is another favorite tool of the progressive movement in America. Barack Obama is now accelerating the spending, nationalizing General Motors and Chrysler, forced a second stimulus package through a liberal congress, and is now discussing how to best implement a nationalized health care service.

The ground work has been laid for a totalitarian government. A government which will tell you what to do, how to do it, whether you deserve to be operated on, whether you child really needs to have that medicine. America will never be Nazi Germany, we will be slaves to an all powerful federal government through taxes and compulsory service to our "community," in which we live. Individualism will be destroyed along with initiative and be replaced by the masses and apathy.

Remember the election of Ronald Reagan? America was adrift without direction. He fixed all that. We as a people have squandered what that man built. He lowered taxes across the board, on all citizens. He reinstilled pride in our country. Industry, business and the general public prospered during his two terms. Since he left office, we, through our apathy have let the country fall back into progressive ways.

Progressives will take up any cause that some how resembles their own because it brings more people to follow them without those people actually realizing what they are getting themselves into. This is why the democratic party champions the rights of minorities, homosexuals and illegal immigrants, they want your votes, they don't care about you anymore then the next guy. They want to use your cause to strip rights from others to make everyone "equal." Yes, they may actually help you with your situation, but what do you give up? You give up your freedom, while your vote helps them get what they want, which is power and control over every one's lives.

All men are equal under God. The constitution guarantees this. Your personal freedoms are whats important. In a group mentality like the progressives espouse there is no room for individualism. Individualism and innovation are the backbone of this country. If they disappear then America will no longer be the country our founding fathers fought for. We will live in a society of the unremarkable masses, there will be no innovation, no free enterprise, no pulling oneself up by their own bootstraps, no more open market to determine what your work and speciality is worth. It will be a society of going to a job determined by the government with a "fair" wage paid to you. Your "fair" wage will then be taxed in exorbitant amount to pay for "fair" health care, which you may or may not receive based on a bureaucrats decision. Your wages will also be taxed via cap and trade, and by the demands of an out of control spending spree by the federal government.

This is what our current ELECTED administration in Washington wants. The question is: Is this what we voted for last November? Are you willing to take the chance on the government being benevolent? Are you willing to take the chance on government abridging your rights to own arms or speak your mind? Are you willing to allow the federal government to take 50% if not more of your money to pay for programs that do not help you or anyone else?

Think about these things as the 2010 congressional elections approach. If you want change you have to make it. Get involved, run for office, encourage someone else to run, donate money to a candidate you know. Do something or the America you know will cease to exist and we will have no one to blame but ourselves.

The National Socialist Platform of the 1920's and Now

The National Socialist German Worker's Party Platform from 1920 was co-written by Adolph Hitler and Anton Drexler. Here are some of the highlights:
  • The common good must come before self-interest.
  • State sponsored livelihood for citizens.
  • The nationalization of Trust (Corporations).
  • Shared profits with labor.
  • Expanded old age pensions.
  • Communalization of department stores.
  • Outlawing of child labor.
  • Universal Education - Government pays for higher education.
  • Guaranteed employment.
  • Expropriation of land without compensation.
  • Abolition of market based lending.
  • Expansion of Health Services.
  • Abolition of class.

The million dollar question is this. What political party does this sound like in the United States in our current time? My guess would be the democratic party and some republicans who have forgotten the definition of what conservatism really means.

It never ceases to amaze me when people categorize National Socialism, and Fascism, of the 1930's as conservative, right wing movements. While some of those things listed above I hold to be important such as Child Labor laws. I do think a child should be a child as long as he or she can, without the worries of an adult. Because any adult worth his or her value as a productive member of society would agree, that being an adult with responsibilities isn't always fun. Getting back to the point, National Socialism and Fascism both dictate these basic premises listed above, so do both our Democratic Party and it would seem some of the Republican Party as well.

People need to wake up and see the link between all of this. The very programs our current administration as well as those of previous administration are pushing us in this direction. The Bush administration had laid the groundwork for a police of the like we haven't seen in this country since World War I. Obama's administration is now pushing us economically, educationally, and health care wise towards the exact same policies of Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, and the War Socialism of the United States during World War I. Seriously people, should we continue to let government continue to run amok?

That HAS BEEN the purpose of these Tea Parties and grass roots movements who have already been deemed right wing extremist by the Bush created Department of Homeland Security. The people who have organized Tea Parties, Campaign for Liberty, and the Constitution Party all want to see a return to the Constitution of the United States. They want to reduce the size of the federal government back to its constitutional boundaries. They want ordinary people to have all the freedoms delineated by the Constitution. The Constitution is a piece of paper with set, immovable guidelines that provides what the Federal government can and can not do, it is NOT a living document to be interpreted with the changing of the times. It is our bedrock, it is what makes our country uniquely American.

It is time for Americans who want to CONSERVE our founding fathers principles (called classic liberalism) to do the following:
Run for office.

  • To encourage neighbors to run for office and vote during elections.
  • To call, write, and visit your representatives.
  • To learn how our country is supposed to work.
  • To demand term limits for representatives on the Federal and State levels.
  • To demand control of our currency and return the coining of money back to congress.
  • To demand that our rights laid down by the Bill of Rights not be infringed upon in any way, including the right to own guns, speak our minds, and practice our religions, no matter the situation.
  • To demand that the Federal Government recognize States Rights as laid down in the Constitution of the United States.

I believe we need to get back to the basics of our founding fathers for this country to truly remain free and good, and to remain a positive force in the world.

What Liberals Say....

US Senator Barack Obama campaigning in New Ham...Image via Wikipedia

Folks I came across this little website. It has quotes from various leaders and soldiers of the Liberal Establishment. Below, I am going to post a few of the more important ones to me.

"Warren [will] tell you what his preference is...let the market work...and then just tax the heck out of people at the end and just redistribute it. That way you're not impending efficiency, and your achieving equity on the back end."
-Barack Obama
from New York Times Magazine

"To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminist and punk-rock performance poets. We smoked cigarettes and wore leather jackets. At night, in the dorms, we discussed neocolonialism, Franz Fanon, Eurocentrism, and patriarchy. When we ground out our cigarettes in the hallway carpet or set our stereos so loud that the walls began to shake, we were resisting bourgeois societies stifling conventions. We weren't indifferent or careless or insecure. We were alienated. But this strategy alone couldn't provide the distance I wanted, from Joyce or my past. After all, there were thousands of so-called campus radicals, most of them white and tenured and happily tolerant. No, it remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.
-Barack Obama
Human Events

"Who really cares about it being unconstitutional?"
-Tonya Payne, Pittsburgh City Council Woman
The Pittsburgh Post - Gazette

"We need somebody who's got the heart, the empathy, to recognize what its like to be a teen aged mom, the empathy to understand what its like to be poor or African-American or gay or disabled or old - and that's the criterion by which I'll be selecting my judges."
-Barack Obama
Mark Murray Article from MSNBC

On Iran: "They don't pose a serious threat to us the way the Soviet Union posed a threat to us."
-Barack Obama
Speech in Oregon

"Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents, that's where its really at."
-Bill Ayers, Mentor of Barack Obama
Memoir Excerpt

"A system of world order - preferably a system of world government - is mandatory.... The proud nations someday will see the light, and, for the common good and their own survival, yield up their precious sovereignty."
-Walter Cronkite
A Reporter's Life

"I hear about Tony Snow [and his colon cancer] and say to myself, well, stand up everyday, lie to the American people at the behest of your dictator-esque boss and, well, how could cancer not grow in you? Work for Fox News, spinning the truth into a billion knots and how can your gut not rot?
-Charles Karel Bouley
ABC Radio talk show host

"Our problem today is too little government."
- Congressman Barney Frank
The American, Article by Tory Newmyer

I think its safe to say that these are not the type of people our country needs. From these quotes you can tell what types of people these are. They want to destroy the America of our founding fathers. They want to replace the values that have made this country the greatest in the world with an all powerful federal government, that will tell us how to raise our children, raise our taxes, destroy traditional families, practice reverse discrimination, tell us what jobs we will work, what schools we will attend.

Independence Day is coming, when we declared tyranny from the abuses of a despot. Now Liberals [progressives] wearing the clothing of both republicans and democrats are trying to bring back the tyranny because they do not believe in the dream that our founding fathers have passed on to us. They want to take care of us so we don't have anything to worry over. They promise us a good living wage, good government sponsored health care, retirement through social security. None of these things are working. Let a man's wage be determined by the market. Let that wage be invested properly in private health care and a private retirement plan. Do you want a government official telling you that you aren't worth the risk to have that tumor removed? Do you want the government to come back in 30 years when your approaching retirement to tell you that social security is bankrupt?

Think about these things on Saturday while your enjoying the time with your family. I wish everyone a happy 4th. Take care and God bless.
